My mom closed her eyes, for the last time, to this world today.

Last Sunday, I told her that she could go when she was ready- that she didn’t need to stay for us. She said that she wasn’t ready yet, but that she would be soon. On Thursday, she asked my dad if it was time to go. He told her that yes, it was okay to go.

She died at 4:39pm. She had her husband and her children with her. We cried a little, but we talked a lot about our favorite vacation memories and our favorite meals that she used to cook us. She heard our laughter in her final moments. She was in her home, next to a big window on a beautiful day. Her cat slept on her bed beside her.

We will lover her eternally.

Honey, there are no words to express the heart ache we feel, but, also the love that we have for you all or for the loss of one of the finest human beings to walk, love, laugh and smile on this earth. Marcia’s light will ALWAYS shine bright in ALL of our lives.

I first met Marcia when I was Megan’s 4th grade teacher at Chester W. Morrison Elementary. Years later, Marcia and I worked for 3 years together at the district office. Her desk was next to mine. She made me laugh every day; her wit and humor was infectious. I loved the sparkle in her eye! Thank you for sharing her journey with us. Praying for strength and comfort for your family.

This makes my heart so very sad. Marcia was a wonderful, strong, and courageous woman. I have such fond memories of her. It has been a few years since your family so graciously shared your Father’s Day celebration with us. We felt so blessed. I’m praying for all of you who loved her so well, that God will comfort your broken hearts and give you His peace.

Your brief announcement was eloquence itself, and such a testament to Marcia’s spirit. Sandra and I share the deep sense of loss of so many now, but what a great life she lived and what wonderful companions she had in you all on the journey. To all of you–B.T., Juliet, Megan, Benjie, and the grandchildren–thanks for sharing her with us.

Well it is taking a while for my brain to process the passing of such a wonderful dear, kind, beautiful, strong Human Being, any one would be so proud to know. My Brain just did not want to process the passing of Marcia. Marcia left her blueprint on this Planet, a Large Blueprint, for Marcia to me embodies everything great about a human being. With such great qualities, and a mesmerizing smile, that made anyone smile back. The qualities Marcia Possesses are that of great strength and determination, strong will, kindness even in the face of what she was going thru. She possesses the most Kind and Loving Spirit I know, she was Generous to a fault, and one of the best Hostesses, I know. Who always made sure everyone was having the best of times, and best times I had at the Miller Home. I was always so captured by her baking skills, and even told her, you need to open up a bakery. Her cookies, her cupcakes, and everything and anything she baked, was so very good, and so professional.
Marcia will be remembered by her beauty, inside and out, her kind and loving spirit, always so generous, a smile, that would make a SHARK SMILE , and also lit up a room. Marcia will be missed by me, her loving Soul, will now light up the Heavens,. Anyone who was lucky enough to have known Marcia, knows what a Lovely, Kind, Sincere, Honest, Generous, Beautiful Person she was, and her memories will live on within Me.
She gave a fight of her lifetime with HUMOR,DIGNITY, and GRACE, and although our hearts are all broken up, knowing Marcia, she would want us to Remember the Good Time, the Fun Times, and to not be Sad, because that is who Marcia Is.
My heart is broken and very hard to still process what has happened, but knowing Marcia is no longer suffering or in pain, makes it a bit easier. I will always cherish in my heart, the fond memories of Marcia and will carry them with me forever. I love you Marcia.

When I think of Marcia, I smile. She was so fantastically witty, courageous, compassionate, and smart. To say she was special is an understatement. She treasured her family and was so proud and honored to be a loving wife, mother and grandmother. How blessed she was to be surrounded by her family as she transitioned from this world to the next! 🙏🏼

Marcia will always hold a special place in my heart. May God bless and bring comfort to your family and to all who knew and loved her. I feel so thankful and blessed to have known her and to have crossed paths with her during my lifetime. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful heart, and I will dearly miss her…
